Mozart meets Seinfeld meets The Three Stooges!
This charmingly insouciant chamber opera of about an hour, sends-up every operatic and social convention and gives everyone a good laugh at Life and Love opera-style!  A shepherdess, her addle-brained shepherd, and the village flim-flam man collide and collude in this cheeky new English translation by ACPS Founding Artistic Director, Dr. Harry N. Dunstan.

Cinderella
by Pauline Viardot
Enchanting, Ravishing, Sophisticated, and always CHARMING,
this lighthearted musical adaption of the world’s most popular fairy tale surrounds Cinderella with a wonderful palette of colorful character – a bumbling father, selfish sisters, a protective and exuberant Godmother, and a Charming Prince who trades identities with his chamberlain.  Written in 1904 by one of the world’s greatest musical geniuses, Pauline Viardot, the story is told through the use of seven soloists and a pianist.  Viardot’s sumptuous score weaves soaring melodies and voluptuous textures into an intimate fireside story that delivers an empowering message of INNER STRENGTH AND BEAUTY that is far ahead of its time! The performance features the new English performing edition by Dr. Harry N. Dunstan, Founding Artistic Director of the American Center for Puccini Studies, and is sung by ACPS Emerging Artists.  This hour-long story is sure to CHARM!
