Cinderella Cinderella, written by Pauline Viardot in 1904, is a chamber opera of about an hour's length. This lighthearted version of Perrault's fairy tale is told through the use of seven soloists, a chorus, and a pianist, and has an intimate feel, as if being told by the fireside at just that moment. Cinderella is surrounded by a wonderful palette of colorful characters - a bumbling father, selfish sisters, a protective and exuberant Fairy Godmother, and a Charming Prince who trades identities with his Chamberlain - all set to Viardot's sumptuous music. Our production of Cinderella is available for your private event. This short work, in a new English performing edition by ACPS Founding Artistic Director, Dr. Harry N. Dunstan, is designed to be performed among friends in an intimate setting and features the Emerging Young Artists of the ACPS and students of the Arcadia Vocal Academy
